ENGLISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE

CONVERSATIONAL ENGLISH: all levels from elementary to advanced (A2 - C2)

•   Topic-based lessons

  • The student selects topics that he or she finds relevant or interesting (such as current events, entertainment, hobbies or interests).

  • These topics form the basis of discussions, vocabulary building and writing skills.

  • Role-play is used to prepare for events such as job interviews or business engagements.

•   Fluency focused learning:

  • The student is encouraged to speak in English without constant interruption.

  • Accuracy is still important, but it has its own space in the learning programme.

•   Grammar:

  • Sentence structure and language rules are taught within the context of discussions and written work.

•   Feedback

  • All feedback is constructive and specific.

  • Detailed comments are provided after each lesson.

•   Homework:

  • Reading and writing exercises are completed as “homework”. This allows us to make the most of our teaching time online.

 

BUSINESS ENGLISH: intermediate to advanced (B1 - C2)

•   The student may select relevant components if all aspects are not required:

  • Formal versus friendly tone

  • Writing letters and emails

  • The agenda and minutes of meeting

  • Advertising

  • “Elevator pitch”

  • Product presentation

  • Preparing a CV and cover letter

•   Grammar:

  • Sentence structure and language rules are taught within the context of discussions and written work.

•   Feedback:
